Being cocky and rude ...

... is the first step to becoming stupid. I've seen enough great minds going to waste because of this. If you're a smart guy, then please, don't be cocky, let alone rude towards those (you think) know less than you do. You might miss a great opportunity to learn something.

No, it hasn't happened to me recently, but I see it happen every day and truly dislike it. We should learn from each other, not shoot at each other. Winning an argument or showing you know more than everyone else shouldn't be your motivation - becoming a better person and better at what you do should.
